Where do I start?

Okay, so most of you know I'm going to high-school next year and want to do animation or something involving that. Problem: I don't really know where to start. I Have a little experience but that's it. I'm not aiming for big and fancy, just want to know where to start! I want to start early, not really early.. I'm almost 14.. , so I can build up a bit of skill for later. I want to do 2D animation. I'm not big on 3D but I adore all sorts of animation! I'd figure I could ask some of you guys for advice or tips on how to start.. Thank you guys :) ~Tootles♥
